7 easy natural ingredients for beauty

Cocoa butter

This very affordable butter ($1.00 a tube in any shop) is very rich in nutrients and emollients.

It is great for very dry skin and ideal for lip care during cold weather. You can also use it on dry elbows, lower legs, and heels.

Olive oil

It is said to be the favorite hair oil of Donatella Versace. You can use a light olive oil as a hair mask, just apply it on the hair and leave for 20 to 60 minutes or more and then shampoo.

Almond oil

Almond oil is a great humectant. You can use it if you run out of face cream or as body oil instead of body lotion. If you add your favorite essential oils, you can get extra benefits and great fragrance.

Coconut oil

One of the most popular oils at this time. In the Caribbean countries, people have used this oil for generations in many ways. It is great for use as a hair mask (follow instructions for olive oil above). You can also use for dry lips and other dry areas in the body. You can use alone or mix it with other oils or vegetable butters.

Rooibos tea

This wonderful red tea from South Africa has a lot of antioxidants. Lindsay Pienaar, US representative for the cosmetic line Annique based on this ingredient, gave us an excellent tip: If you drink roobois tea during the
day, save the tea bag and put it in a cup of water. The following morning, use it as a toner on your face.

Chamomile tea

Chamomile is very calming and a powerful anti-inflammatory agent. You can drink it and use as a skin toner on delicate areas of your body. You can also use cold compresses of this tea on the eyes or other puffy areas.

Honey has several useful nutrients and excellent anti-bacterial properties. It is used in many skincare products. You can use in facemasks and as a body mask. No need to say it is sweet and sticky, and therefore, you need to handle it accordingly.
