Do you know where you are going in life? Why do you behave every moment the way you do? Why the stress; why the rush? Do you have a destination?
We live in an era of rush, materialism, success measured in terms of material possessions, and the desire to live beyond our means. The media and the social environment have deeply put into our heads what we should be. Amidst all of this we have lost our dreams. We want what others (mostly marketers with huge advertising budgets) want for us, but where is our true self?
Oprah Winfrey keeps talking about finding your passion, and we see on her programs how many women go through life without knowing what their strengths are. To find your strengths is easy; you just have to pay attention to what you like to do even if it is something that is not considered cool by the rest of the world.
When we do what we like, we can become our best. This may almost be a cliché but it is very profound.
One more way you can find your strength is deciding what you really want to do about issues in your life. If you are struggling to lose weight and it bothers you, just go ahead and take small, but consistent, steps to correct the problem. If you want to learn a new language, start now. Write down what you want to do and analyze what you can start right now and what will have to wait.
Remember you need a map to move forward in life. Nobody has gone nowhere without taking the first step. Time is precious; every second is a valuable part of your life.
