As Mother's Day approaches, there is a rush to buy her a gift. Mothers appreciate all gifts, but besides your usual gift, why not to offer her something special. Here are some ideas:
Take her out. Not for a regular lunch, gift her an invitation to have high tea at a high-end hotel in your area. High tea offers the opportunity to relax and chat in a nice environment. It costs less than a regular meal and it is different.

You can also take her out for a picnic to a special place for both of you.
Cook for her:
Cook a brunch or breakfast and bring to her home on Mother's Day or the day before. Cook something your mom has told she would like to try or something from a place she would like to visit.
Have a rose
party for her and some friends or family.
Spa time
Spa gift certificate is a favorite for Mother's Day. You can give your mom a moment of solace and peace after all those years you interrupted her tranquility.
You do not have to give her a spa package that may have activities that she will not enjoy so much. You can put together your own package or give her a series of treatments such as facials or massages.
Make her a CD
Buy her favorite songs from an Internet music service such as iTunes, burn your own CD and print a pretty cover especially for mom.
Do not give her something for the house; this is not house day, it is Mother's day.
