Steamed cabbage---

Ingredients

1 One medium cabbage
1/4 cup of small finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
Salt and pepper to taste
A pinch of turmeric powder (optional)
A pinch of crushed oregano leaves or fresh basil

Preparation:

1- Cut the cabbage in chunks  


2- Heat the oil in pan where the cabbage can fit. It has a lot of volume

3- Add the onion and wait until it is cooked

4- Add the turmeric powder and wait a few seconds

5- Add the cabbage, salt, pepper, and herbs.

6- Cover and put on low medium heat

7- Keep an eye on it so that it does not burn. Usually it does not require water but you can add a little if needed.

8- Cook until tender at your taste.

9- You may add vinegar or other herbs or seasonings if you like.
