Katy Perry’s perfume

November 17th, 2010 · Beauty

Katy Perry’s first perfume comes in one of the most original and beautiful bottles I have seen in a long time. The fragrance is called “Purr” and it is like Katy, playful and unique.

It is a floral fragrance with peach nectar, jasmine blossom, Bulgarian rose, vanilla orchid, sandalwood and musk.

The eau de parfum will retail for: $45 for 1.7 fl oz. and $65 for 3.4 fl oz. Available at Nordstrom and www.Nordstrom.com

Clarins Barocco Collection

November 16th, 2010 · Beauty

I love the packaging and presentation of Clarins new makeup collection called The Barocco Collection.

It is rich and exuberant.  The picture above evokes the 80s extravagance with rich tones. Clarins has good pictures on their website on how to create the look.

Also on their website they have an attractive offer: free shipping and two free products with a purchase of only $30.

Estée Lauder Companies’ 2010 Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

October 12th, 2010 · Beauty

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and as you know companies launch special products to help raise funds to create awareness on this, sadly, common disease.

Estée Lauder is one of the most active companies helping in the fight against breast cancer.  Estée Lauder’s campaign to create awareness this year is called: Connect. Communicate. Conquer.  Prevent Breast Cancer. One Woman at a Time.  Wear It. Share It. The Pink Ribbon.

This month, 14 of Estée Lauder’s brands will be selling 20 great beauty products to raise funds for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). This is an independent, not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to funding breast cancer research and currently supports 173 researchers around the world.

These wonderful products include brands such as La Mer, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Jo Malone, Aveda, Bumble + Bumble, Lab Series, Origins and more. Evelyn Lauder along with Elizabeth Hurley, have also designed special lip collections to raise funds. When you buy these products part of the sales go to BCRF.

I love the Aveda hand cream and the Clinique lips kit with the gloss (Exclusively at Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s).
